Archived development versions (view docs in usr/doc)
CMMS
V 0.92 March 2002 (goto album/song works again, some speech feedback was added,
documentation was updated, ftp-server added, web-server control added)
Known bugs/problems in 0.92:
- When FTP-server is running, 100 MHz might be not enough. Changes between songs
will take more time on slower systems.
- You have to delete /tmp/MPL after adding new MP3s. You can put "rm /tmp/MPL"
into the batch file /etc/rc.d/player.sh, then this is done on startup (boot
procedure will take more time).
- Numinput isn't yet handled by the LCD code
CMMS
V
0.91 January 2002 (svgalib uses kernel framebuffer driver now, running
cmms without vga card should be possible again, sb16 or awe compatible cards should
work without modifying configuration now, added id3 tag support, updated
documentation and added en.README_LCD.txt)
Known bugs/problems in 0.91:
- Speech feedback temporarily not working (this was working in 0.6c)
- "Go to"-Numpad mapping temporarily not working (this was working in 0.6c)
- Some parts in the documentation regarding the installation
are outdated. For an up-to-date documentation to get Cmms running, see
usr/doc/en.HOWTO_SETUP.txt.
- Don't use the included documentation de.README.sgml to connect a
LC-
display to the
system - it's not yet updated and won't work - view README on
http://lcd.sourceforge.net for
information
about the LCD support instead (we use a modified version of this LCD driver for
Cmms). A copy of this file is included: usr/doc/en.README_LCD.txt
Old versions (outdated docs in German only)
CMMS V
0.6c
Old - but if you have problems with the development versions
and don't need LCD support, try this one.
Please note: If you are new to Unix, please use release 0.9. The docs
of all other versions are not always up-to-date so they might cause confusion...
All versions from 0.7 to 0.8 stay unreleased (they are much too unstable).
Of course
you can always contact us.
